That’s right! We dive back into the toolbox to take on storytelling! PickUp Podcast goes international as Jordan calls in from the far east to drop some storytelling knowledge with AJ. We explain how to select topics, convey emotion, and develop rapport when telling stories.
“Storytelling reveals meaning without committing the error of defining it.” -Hannah Arendt

The reviews are honest & that’s cool.
I wanted to comment on something on the “Mailbag” portion of this podcast–drinking. Drinking intelligently is a skill you have to develop, just like any other social skill. Getting stoopid-drunk is way beta and impresses nobody. Some gurus just say don’t, but like the guys said, that can be a little creepy, andif the girl is drinking, it can make her feel uncomfortable. You have to develop enough confidence & self-discipline to control yourself (& your drinking) before you can conrol the situation. You’d be surprised how many guys I know, 25y.o. to 45 y.o., who won’t go where people drink, just because they feel they have to keep ordering drinks (“oops! I drank too much to talk to women last night,” is a lame excuse). Learning to keep control is important! If you can handle multiple drinks, that’s cool, but there’s nothing wrong with having the strength to nurse a single drink or enjoy a near-beer and keep your cool.
For what i anticipated in being a rather boring subject matter it actually turned out to be quite the opposite. It might be worthwhile developing this topic further by inviting a professional author onto the show. It is always fascinating to get a slant on topics from people who are not (as such) associated with the pick-up community. You guys did really well in putting this session together and i think you could take it a lot further.
