Episode 5: Mailbag

Day Game vs. Night Game:

Direct game is better for day game; indirect is better for night game, but don’t take it too seriously.  Have fun with it!

How can I stay motivated?

Don’t take rejection personally. It’s not you; it’s your approach, the time of day, her mood, or any number of factors that you can’t control. Don’t let the fear of rejection hold you back; the fear is worse than the rejection. Focus on having fun and don’t be outcome-dependent.

Eye Contact:
Smile, and stay relaxed. Practice by making eye contact with everyone—bank tellers, coworkers, men, women, everyone. Don’t isolate yourself socially, or get wrapped up in your iPod.

How do you approach a women in a mixed set?

Approach the guys first.

Don’t be competitive. If someone gives you a hard time, make it into a joke.

What if you are standing and the set is sitting?

Grab a nearby chair after you open, if you get IOI. Don’t corner a girl, or make them feel threatened. Usually someone will simply ask you to grab a seat.
Do you game within you own social circle?

(work/school/current friends)

NO! If things go bad, you’ve got to deal with this person every day for as long as you’re there.

Fashion Tip: Watches. Give a girl something to talk about. Have a stylish watch. You don’t need to buy a Rolex, just something cool.

    great stuff fellas.

the fashion tip was on point for me too as I’ve been “watchless” for like 5 years. I went to get a Swatch watch a few months ago and the Swatch store in Sydney has closed down which sucked but I’mma check out some other brands and get me a cool watch soon.

    Keep up the great podcasts!

Another fine session from the Pickup Podcast crew. This broadcast covered way too many topics for me to even begin to think about commenting on. As with all of the ‘dynamic duo’ podcasts, it is very upbeat and packed with unrivaled advice.
